Air Quality

Air cleaners (aka scrubbers and purifiers) remove airborne pollutants from the air in your home. Modern homes are now constructed and insulated better than ever, to conserve energy. This reduces ventilation and traps the indoor air pollutants inside your home. Between home, school and work we spend 80 - 90% of our time indoors. It's estimated by the EPA, that the indoor air quality inside a home can be 2-5 times more polluted than the air outside. Allergy and asthma rates continue to increase in diagnosis among children in the United States. Indoor air pollution can be caused by many factors such as by products of stoves, fireplaces, smoking, insulation, carpeting, pesticides, pollen, dust mites, pet dander and much more. At Hoosier Home Heating, Inc. we sell and install air purifier systems that can clean the air as it passes through your home's ductwork system. Making your home's indoor air quality as clean and healthy as possible for your family's well being is important.

Humidifiers

To maintain comfort in your home when your furnace is running, it is important to maintain sustainable moisture levels in the air that you breath.  Air that is too dry can absorb moisture from its surroundings. It can take a toll on your furnishings and on your health. If your home does not have a whole house humidifier then you're probably familiar with dry itchy skin, chapped lips and static electricity as just some of the signs that your home doesn't have the correct moisture levels. You can also prevent the damage caused by overly dry air, such as cracking wood on furniture,  wood trim and molding. Creating proper humidity in your home can also allow you to lower the setting of your thermostat. Homeowners  can save up to 4% on their heating costs for every degree they lower their thermostats. At Hoosier Home Heating, Inc. we know that comfort is of the utmost importance to you and your family.
